Beyoncé: "I tell my daughter every day that she can be President"

Beyoncé has revealed that she tells her one-year-old daughter that she can be US President in the future.

The singer gave birth to her first child Blue Ivy Carter alongside husband Jay-Z in January last year.

In a new promotional video for women's issues group Chime For Change, Beyoncé spoke about how she tells her daughter that anything is possible in life. She said:

"I'm telling my daughter every day, 'You know you can be President. You know it's possible'. And I know she has no idea why I'm saying this. But at one year old I'm telling her."

Beyoncé meanwhile will headline a Chime For Change event at London's Twickenham Stadium on June 1 in an effort to raise awareness for women's rights and issues.

Other acts on the bill include Florence + The Machine, Ellie Goulding and John Legend.
