Vocal powerhouse Jessie J has shared a photograph of herself cutting her own hair ahead of her forthcoming head shave for Comic Relief.

The 'Price Tag' beauty volunteered to have her head buzzed in order to raise money for the fantastic cause and will shave off her raven locks live on TV on March 15. Earlier today (March 11) she told her 6.3 million Twitter followers that in order to prepare for the cut, she decided to go back to her trademark bob.

She uploaded a series of pictures to Instagram documenting her style change and accompanied the collage with the caption: "Black to the bob (for 4 days) lol."

Last month, Jessie J explained that it would be great if one of the One Direction members would shave her head: "My hairdresser and I are shaving it off at the moment and I'm excited. But I think we should get one of the One Direction boys to do it instead. That might be a fantasy for some people!"
