Justin Timberlake will return to music and compose film score

Hitmaker Justin Timberlake is set to return to music by composing the soundtrack for an upcoming movie.

The 'SexyBack' singer will provide the score, which will be his first ever, for the upcoming film 'The Devil In The Deep Blue Sea'. Coincidentally, his fiancée Jessical Biel has been confirmed to star in the big-screen project.

The Hollywood Reporter also revealed that Timberlake will serve as the production's general music supervisor.

Last month, it was announced that the superstar had turned designer for a special homeware line entitled HomeMint and he admitted that it "felt like a really natural" progression, but it looks like he will return to his musical roots later this year for 'The Devil In The Deep Blue Sea'.

Timberlake recently took to social networking site Twitter (May 21) to pay his respects to the late Robin Gibb, who passed away on May 20 following a battle with cancer, and wrote: "We have lost a truly brilliant musician today. One of my idols. My heart goes out to the Gibb family in this time of sorrow...RIP Robin."
