Kanye's new album expected to shift half a million copies in first week

'Yeezus', the highly anticipated new album from 'Stronger' superstar Kanye West, is expected to make a significant impact when it is released on June 18.

The record has forecasters in the music industry predicting debut week sales of half a million, information which is based on figures gathered from pre-orders, first week sales on previous full-length offerings, media campaigns and trends from the album's first single.

Comparable albums' first week sales are also taken into consideration when trying to estimate sales figures.

Confusion was caused earlier today (June 12) after a supposed new Kanye album, entitled 'Good Times', was listed on several online retailers with a release date of July 8. It is unclear if this is simply a fake that managed to dupe companies or if more news is yet to be confirmed.
