Kelly Clarkson has announced details of a forthcoming Christmas album.

The US star will release the record 'Wrapped In Red' on October 29 as she tries her luck in the festive market.

The cover of the album sees Clarkson wearing a cosy red jumper and lipstick as she looks on.

Speaking on Twitter as she uploaded the 'Wrapped In Red' artwork, the former American Idol star said:

"Check out the cover of my Christmas album! I can't wait for y'all to hear it. I have been dying to make this album since I was a kid! #WrappedInRed comes out Oct 29th."

Clarkson's last full album meanwhile came in the shape of 2011's 'Stronger', with the powerful singer also unleashing a greatest hits collection last year.
