Former 'American Idol' winner Kelly Clarkson has revealed that her Christmas wish has come true because she is expecting her first child with new husband, Brandon Blackstock. 

Earlier this month, she told the press that all she wants for the holidays is a baby and it looks as though her dream will soon become a reality after she confirmed the exciting news via a Twitter post earlier today (November 20):

"I'm pregnant!!! Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever :)"

She hinted that she might be pregnant during a recent interview with chat show host Jay Leno after teasing that she wasn't ready to announce anything, but was 'practicing' baby-making in her spare time:

"We are not announcing anything right now! We're not, no. Practice makes perfect! We're trying, trying, trying… like rabbits! I want a little baby with little feet and I just want to bite them. I never wanted kids before, but now I want, like, five."

Following the announcement, Clarkson was met with a flood of well wishes from her social networking site followers and told them that the sex of the baby is currently unknown: "We won't know if it's a boy or a girl for like two months."
