Kings of Leon postpone show after drummer breaks ribs in bus accident

Kings of Leon were forced into postponing a concert at the weekend after their drummer suffered broken ribs in an accident.

The band are currently out on the road in North America, but they were forced to pull a date in Saratoga Springs, NY on Sunday (August 10).

They postponed the gig because drummer Nathan Followill was injured after their tour bus broke suddenly.

Kings of Leon said in a Facebook post: "Due to an accident on their tour bus, Kings of Leon will unfortunately have to postpone tonight's show in Saratoga Springs, NY. The band [were] en route to their hotel after their show in Boston when a pedestrian jumped in front of their tour bus, causing the bus to stop short, injuring Nathan Followill.

"Nathan is being treated for broken ribs, but is doing well. The band will postpone the show that was planned for tonight August 10th, until further notice. Refunds for ticket holders will be available at point of purchase."

Followill took to Twitter to write: "Thank you for all of the get well soons. I'm a little banged up but will be back better than ever."

The group's next gig is due to take place in Wantagh, NY on August 13.
