Lady Gaga to speak at Dalai Lama event in America

'Born This Way' sensation Lady Gaga will appear alongside the Dalai Lama at the forthcoming U.S. Conference of Mayors annual meeting, which is open only to the press and registered conference attendees.

The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 26 in Indianapolis and other speakers include Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, journalist Ann Curry, and philanthropist Philip Anschutz.

Tweeting about the event this week, Gaga told her followers that she is looking forward to it: "I am honoured to be sitting down with the @DalaiLama this Sunday to have a conversation about kindness to 300 of our important US mayors."

As previously reported, Gaga recently told Actors on Actors that she puts everything she has into her various creative projects and she has "relentless love" for the work she does:

"If I'm playing a character at the same time, I'm also that as well. I live a lifestyle of endless, relentless love for making my work. That informs me as a person in every way, all the time. It's a quite difficult thing for me to answer, because I'm entirely Stefani and I'm entirely Gaga. But I was also entirely the Countess (on American Horror Story: Hotel)."
