Police have encouraged Justin Bieber to respond to their advances in relation to an egg-throwing investigation.

Neighbours of the singer recently claimed that he egged their house and they submitted video footage of the alleged incident to TMZ.

They were left shell-shocked and police have confirmed that they are investigating the matter.

However, it seems Bieber has remained elusive. Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said:

"Mr Bieber doesn't tend to ever want to talk to us. When we knock on the door, he doesn't answer. Once again, which I have done numerous times, I encourage Mr. Bieber, whether it be with an attorney or not, to come and talk to us."

The police also confirmed that whilst the case relates to 'misdemeanours', charges may be implemented once damage estimates have been submitted.
