New Kids on the Block have confirmed a batch of UK dates due to take place later this year.

The US pop group will play a total of five shows in May and June as they perform in more intimate venues.

The jaunt will kick off with two dates at the Eventim Apollo on May 27 and 28 before it heads to Manchester and Birmingham.

The tour will then conclude at Glasgow's Clyde Auditorium on June 1. The group said in a statement:

"We've played arenas, and stadiums, all over the world in the last six years. Yet, some of our best concerts have been in the most intimate of venues, where we are closer to our amazing fans. In fact, we all agree that London's Hammersmith Apollo was without question one of our favourite concerts ever! This tour gives us a chance to have that intimacy with our fans again. To get up close and intimate with the best fans in the world."

Tickets for the dates will go on sale from February 7. The full schedule is as follows:
