Justin Bieber 'marijuana' flight to be investigated by the FAA

Justin Bieber could be in hot water with regards to a private flight he recently took in the US.

The singer boarded a flight with his dad Jeremy at the end of January from Canada to the States ahead of the Super Bowl.

However, a report from the journey said that pilots had to wear oxygen masks because of marijuana fumes and that the travellers were abusive to staff.

The Federal Aviation Administration have now confirmed that they are looking into the claims.

They said in a statement: "The FAA is looking into allegations that passengers on board a Gulfstream GIV aircraft that landed at Teterboro Airport on Friday January 31, 2014 interfered with the flight crew in violation of FAA regulations."

The body's rules meanwhile say: "No person may assault, threaten, intimidate, or interfere with a crew member in the performance of the crew member's duties aboard an aircraft."
