The Libertines have been confirmed as one of the headliners of this year's Benicassim Festival.

The group announced in April that they will be reuniting for a show at London's Hyde Park on July 5.

The band, who are fronted by Pete Doherty and Carl Barat, have now confirmed that they will play Spain's Benicassim Festival on July 19.

Other acts due to play on the bill include Example, Lily Allen, Kasabian and Paolo Nutini.

The Libertines had previously suggested that they might play some warm-up gigs ahead of their reunion, with Doherty saying:

"There'll be a warm-up, and there might be a free one for people who can't get into Hyde Park, maybe."

The indie group last released an album in 2004, but they reunited in 2010 to headline the Reading and Leeds festivals.
