Mitch Winehouse on Amy: 'I still find it hard to listen to her albums'

Mitch Winehouse is about to release a brand new album called 'But Beautiful' and he has revealed that even though his late daughter, 'Back To Black' songstress Amy, has been gone since 2011 he still gets emotional when he hears her voice.

Speaking at the Pizza Express Jazz Club in London earlier this week, where he was celebrating the launch of his new album 'But Beautiful', he explained that he misses his daughter every day and still struggles to listen to her music:

"I find it difficult to listen to her albums, it's upsetting. I like listening to the stuff that I discovered like 'When My Eyes' and 'Fool's Gold'. I loved the stuff she did will Jools Holland and Paul Weller, those are great. Vocally she was at her finest."

Winehouse went onto add that Amy actually selected some of the songs that make up his new record's tracklisting: 'When Amy and I did the first album and we chose the songs, a lot of the songs we chose didn't go on that album and are on this new record. We had like 40 songs - actually it was more like 50 songs - picked out. I think the tracks on this album are the better songs."

All proceeds from sales of the album, which is due to be officially released on September 29 through Lioness, will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
