Hilary Duff tells all about Ed Sheeran studio sessions: 'I was really intimidated'

'Chasing The Sun' beauty Hilary Duff has opened up about getting to work with British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran on her new album, which is due to be released in the new year.

Speaking to MTV News, she confessed that they had a very late-night recording session, which was tough as she's a mother to a young child so her schedule means that she's usually asleep by then:

“He had been doing a promo day in L.A. and he’s like, ‘I know you have a 2-year-old, but could you please come and record at midnight?’ I was like, ‘I’ve already been in bed for three hours by midnight on most nights,’ but of course for him I did, and I’m such a huge fan –he’s so talented.”

The song in question is called 'Tattoo', which will be on her forthcoming new album, and she went onto explain that being in the studio with Sheeran was inspiring because she's such a huge fan of his music:

"He vocally produced it and came in the booth with me. I was really intimidated because, normally, they don’t do that, so I kept looking up and being like, ‘You’re Ed Sheeran and I’m singing the song that you wrote and I want to do right by it'."

"It was awesome and then he, in like 15 minutes, did all the low stuff and the harmonies and the background. He just musically has to put in no effort it seems; it’s just him.”
