Smokey Robinson on Justin Bieber: 'His friends have nothing to lose, but he has everything to lose'

Music legend Smokey Robinson stopped by U.S. chat show 'The Talk' earlier this afternoon (pictured on set with Sharon Osbourne) and was asked if he has any words of wisdom for troubled teen superstar, Justin Bieber

Robinson explained that he would love to sit down and have a heart-to-heart with the 'As Long As You Love Me' heartthrob because he feels as though the young star is getting derailed by the people he's currently associating himself with:

"I would ask Justin... I've known him since he first started. He's basically a nice young man, but he's influenced by peer pressure and the people that he's with. You know, some of the guys he's with and that he's emulating have nothing to lose. They have nothing to lose, but he has everything to lose."

Speaking to Britain's The Telegraph recently, Robinson admitted that he worries that Bieber is influenced 'by the wrong things' and would like to see him get back on track with more clarity and understanding about what's truly good for him:

"He does have genuine musical talent, but I feel very bad for him 'cause he's on the wrong track. And I'd like to have a one-on-one conversation with him. I met him in the beginning and he was a nice kid. I just think he's running with the wrong people now, and being influenced by the wrong things."
