Slipknot bag second US No.1 album

Slipknot have secured their second No.1 album in the US.

The metal group released their new effort '.5: The Gray Chapter' in the country on October 21.

It has now been confirmed that it sold 132,000 units in its first week to give Slipknot their second No.1 album in the US.

They first achieved that feat with 2008's 'All Hope Is Gone', with their previous highest-charter coming in the shape of 2004's No.3 placed 'Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)'.

At No.2 on this week's US chart is TI's 'Paperwork', whilst Neil Diamond's 'Melody Road' is No.3.

The arrival of Taylor Swift's '1989' this week, however, will see Slipknot lose their No.1 slot.
