BRIT Awards 2015 and Google Play team up for official ceremony downloads

The BRIT Awards has teamed up with Google Play for an exciting new partnership that will allow viewers of the ceremony to download and stream performances from the night.

The highly anticipated event is due to take place at London's O2 Arena on February 25 and the Google music service will serve as the official partner to this year's BRIT Awards, giving fans the chance to purchase audio performances shortly after they've happened. The 2015 BRITs will be hosted by Ant and Dec.

Geoff Taylor, Chief Executive BPI and Brit Awards Limited, issued a statement on the exciting news: "We're delighted that the Brit Awards are partnering with Google Play to offer fans the chance to download or stream unique Brits performances while raising money for War Child and our music education charity The Brit Trust."

"We want music fans to be able to experience the Brits across every digital channel, and this partnership is an important pillar of that strategy."

Performers for this year's BRIT Awards include the likes of Madonna, Taylor Swift, Take That, Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran.
