Jess Glynne on course to land first solo UK No.1

Jess Glynne is in pole position to reach No.1 in the UK this weekend.

The singer and songwriter released her solo track 'Hold My Hand' this week.

The Official Charts Company have confirmed in their midweek update (March 25) that the tune is No.1.

It has sold nearly 50,000 units this week and it could give Glynne her first solo No.1 following her brushes with the top post as a feature on songs by Clean Bandit and Route 94.

At No.2 on the midweek update is James Bay's 'Hold Back The River', whilst Years & Years' 'King' drops one place to No.3.

Last week's No.1 - Sam Smith's 'Lay Me Down' is No.4 - whist Sigma's 'Higher' is a new entry at No.5.

Other new entries include KSI's 'Lamborghini' (No.21) and Olly Murs' 'Seasons' (No.39).
