R5: 'We want to create a relationship with our fans'

American pop rock band R5 recently announced that they'll be releasing their album, entitled 'Sometime Last Night', on July 10 and a few days before that they will hit the road for an exciting headlining tour across the USA.

The band called into On Air with Ryan earlier today (April 7) and explained that they will be performing in smaller venues on this new jaunt, which will kick off on July 7 at the Thrasher-Horne Center For The Arts in Florida, because they want to build relationships with the fans that come to see them live:

"We play smaller venues and we pack it with people that have been to a lot of other events, so we’ve seen these fans all over the place, so they feel comfortable enough with us to just hang out, which is why we do the shows. We just want to play live and create a relationship with our fans.”

Members Ross Lynch (19) and his 23-year-old brother Riker added: “It’s going to be awesome. We’re super excited to tour again!”

R5 followers will also be treated to a sneak peek at what they can expect from the band’s summer tour with their documentary 'R5: All Day, All Night', which will arrive in 400 Regal/AMC theaters across the country for one night only on April 16.
