Hunter Hayes unveils debut UK album

Country star Hunter Hayes has finally released his new album 'I Want Crazy' in the UK and it's a well-rounded offering that boasts a tracklisting made up from 'Hunter Hayes', 'Hunter Hayes (Encore)', and 'Storyline'.

This record has the kind of commercial crossover appeal that will please fans of the country genre and style while attracting new listeners with its pop sensibilities and story-telling lyrics. Stand out tracks include 'I Want Crazy', which showcases his strong writing ability and penchant for emotive subject matter; 'Tattoo', which he previously released as a single, and the rockier 'You Think You Know Somebody'.

'I Want Crazy' is a slick and polished package that's full of empowering, romantic and relatable lyrics. Hayes' impressive vocals soar over the pop-country fusion that he has been developing and he's likely to reach a new audience with this collection.

Hayes may be a big name over in his native U.S., but he's a rising star across the pond so this debut UK album is the perfect introduction to who he is as an artist.

Speaking exclusively to Pressparty about his songwriting style recently, the heartthrob admitted that being able to convey emotion through a melodic narrative is important to him as a country artist and he isn't afraid to experiment:

"All I can really say that there's a feeling you get when someone sings something in a storyteller way that breaks through walls and just connects. The vulnerability in some of these songs allows you to create what I always call "the soundtrack". Country has always had that storyteller connection thing that really exemplifies the power of music."

The tracklisting is as follows:

  • 'I Want Crazy' (Ryan Tedder remix)
  • 'Invisible'
  • 'Tattoo'
  • 'Light Me Up'
  • 'Wanted'
  • 'You Think You Know Somebody'
  • 'Secret Love'
  • 'What You Gonna Do'
  • 'Everybody's Got Somebody But Me (feat. Jason Mraz)'
  • 'Somebody's Heartbreak'
