Christina Aguilera's 'Bionic' NOT to be re-issued

A representative from Christina Aguilera’s record label, RCA Records, has rubbished reports that they will be re-releasing the singer’s sixth studio album, ‘Bionic’, in conjunction with her debut movie ‘Burlesque’.

Billboard recently quoted RCA vice president Scott Seviour as saying, "It's not like the music industry, where the talent comes out two weeks before the album. They started at the end of July." He was referring to Aguilera's cancelled summer tour. He added, " 'Burlesque' ideally gives us the opportunity to remarket 'Bionic'."

However, another rep for the label denied the suggestion that the album would be seeing a reissue, saying: "No plans to reissue the record have been announced”.
