X Factor contestant Honey G believes she can have the same impact as One Direction, providing she has the right team behind her.

The rapper left the UK TV show at the weekend ahead of the grand final after proving a divisive figure, with some viewers labelling her as a comedy act.

Speaking to The Sun, Honey G said she feels she can become as big as One Direction, who left the X Factor in 2010 before becoming a worldwide sensation. She said:

"I'm kind of looking to come in at the level that One Direction came in at. I know that I can create that hype. I just need the opportunity to be able to sell the records, get the right PR behind me, get the right team behind me that's really going to blow me up."
