Dr. Conrad Murray says Michael Jackson had "a miserable life"

Dr. Conrad Murray has revealed that the late Michael Jackson, for whom he was the personal physician, had "a miserable life".

In an interview with BANG Showbiz, Murray explained that the King of Pop was "terrified" of his family and it was really troubling: "Michael has had a very fascinating life but what I would call a miserable life. Not just in childhood, as a teenager and after. I mean, all of it. He was terrified of his family."

Murray, who was convicted of the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson back in 2009, added that he and the icon became great friends on a level that transcended the doctor/patient boundary:

"I think the times we spent together were just two guys. I would say Michael was a very good listener too, because I shared with him an event in my life that I could not even talk to my mum about and was very painful. If you read about my life in my dad's home, I can even break my mother's heart, I just carry that pain all my life."
