This year’s best dressed celebrity list has been released by Vogue magazine and taking the number one spot is pop and fashion icon Lady Gaga.

Gaga received 42% of the vote from Vogue readers, overtaking other contenders including ‘Gossip Girl’ star Blake Lively and America’s First Lady Michele Obama.

On the reasoning for the choice, Vogue wrote of Gaga: “Her sense of style thwarted the predictable - it was theatrically avant-garde and wildly, irreverently witty, returning a much-needed sense of humour and unbridled imagination to fashion.”

It isn’t the only fashion award Gaga has snagged this year as her infamous meat dress was named the Fashion Statement of 2010 by Time magazine.
