Rebecca Black to release 'LOL'

Internet sensation Rebecca Black has decided not to become the one hit wonder people are expecting her to be and is in the studio recording new material.

The teen singer who became an overnight hit with her track and video for 'Friday', which hasn't moved from Twitter's trending topics for two whole weeks, revealed to The Sun that she is at the Flying Pig Studios in Los Angeles working on a single called 'LOL'.

She admits that the negative attention is only spurring her to prove people wrong, and explained:

"You think you are bringing me down and making me not want to do this any more. But you're making me stronger and want to do it even more."

"Here I am in a studio working on my debut album. I'm going to prove you wrong. Just like Friday, the new songs are pretty catchy."

The lyrics to 'Friday' came under fire for their simplistic and somewhat narrative nature, and according to the UK tabloid her follow up song's words are in a similar vein with the chorus being, "BFF you make me LOL".
