Sugababes star convicted of assault

Sugababes star Amelle Berrabah has been found guilty of assaulting a girl in a London nightclub. 

The singer appeared in they City of Westminster Magistrates' Court yesterday, September 2, and denied that she had been involved in a physical altercation with Danielle Dodoo in nightclub Alto, but was subsequently convicted and issued a public apology for her behaviour.

“Following my conviction for assault today, I would like to offer my unreserved apologies to the band's fans, my bandmates, our record label and my family."

Berrabah was given a conditional discharge and ordered to pay out £250 in compensation. Watch Sugababes' new video for 'Freedom' here:
