Michael Bublé says that "Christmas is for losers"

In an interview with the Irish Times, Michael Bublé joked that Christmas is for losers.

The singer is releasing a Christmas album, called 'Christmas', which he recorded during the summer out in the hot weather of Los Angeles, which might explain why he sounded like a Scrooge:

"Bah, humbug! Christmas is for losers!"

However, he went on to explain that making an album about his favourite time of the year is very special:

"I know what that holiday means to me and my family, and for me to even think that I’m gonna have the opportunity to be invited into millions of people’s homes all over the world to get to share this very personal and special time with them is a huge honour to me, and it means a hell of a lot to me".

The 'Haven't Met You Yet' singer says that one song that appears on his festive album holds an importance to him:

"My mom and dad made it really special for us kids. But there was only one record they would play, for two and a half months, and that was Bing Crosby’s White Christmas album. It introduced me to jazz. It introduced me to music, and so this was the record of my dreams to make".

'Christmas' is to be released on October 24 and you can hear Bublé cover other favourites like 'Jingle Bells', 'Silent Night' and Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'.
