Beyoncé and Jay-Z win big at BET Awards

Beyoncé and Jay-Z were among the winners at Sunday night's (July 1) BET Awards.

The pair picked up a number of awards at the ceremony, which was held in Los Angeles.

Beyoncé collected the Best Female R&B Artist and Video Director of the Year awards whilst Jay-Z's Kanye West collaboration The Throne nabbed the Best Group and Video Of The Year gongs.

Jay-Z managed to poke fun at Kanye West's stage interruption at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards whilst collecting one of the awards.

Other winners on the night included Chris Brown in the Best Male R&B Artist category whilst Drake won Best Male Hip-Hop Artist.

Nicki Minaj meanwhile won the female equivalent of Drake's award, landing the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist prize.
