Little Mix have revealed the inspiration behind their new single 'Wings' - Beyoncé and Michael Jackson.

The X Factor winners recently unveiled the new track as they gear up for the release of their debut album.

Digital Spy spoke to the girls at the T4 on the Beach event on Sunday (July 1) and asked if the band's material has been influenced by anyone in particular. Jade Thirlwall said:

"For 'Wings' it was Beyoncé and Michael Jackson."

The rest of the band meanwhile opened up on the sound of their forthcoming album, with Leigh-Anne Pinnock saying:

"There's a mix of everything really. There's all different styles."

Thirlwall meanwhile added: "There's old-school and lots of group harmonies with modern beats. It's pretty exciting."
