Sir Elton John's husband David Furnish has admitted that despite recent comments he thinks the Queen of Pop is fantastic and an "inspiration to all of us".

Back in August, Sir Elton described Madonna as a "fairground stripper" and had nothing positive to say about the icon, but Furnish has now revealed to TMZ that he admires her and doesn't think she's past her prime "at all":

"No, not at all. I think she's a great artist and I wish her all the best. I think she is a great artist and I think she works very, very hard."

"She is an inspiration to all of us and I wish her all the best. Seriously, I love her. I wish her all the best."

Following Sir Elton's tongue-in-cheek remarks, Madonna went on record as saying she had forgiven him for the comments and explained that he is genuinely a "big fan" of hers.
