Little Mix: 'We want our new album to be more dance and R&B influenced'

Girl group Little Mix have revealed that they hope their sophomore record will be more R&B infused than their debut offering.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy about the learning curve of putting together an album, member Jade Thirlwall admitted that they want the next cut to be more genre specific rather than a mix of different styles:

"We're starting the second album soon. It's come round so quickly! We managed to cover a lot of different sounds on this album, so our next one will be more defined and take it back to Little Mix's style."

Singer Jesy Nelson added that she wants to concentrate on a more dance-based sound, but one that has an R&B base: "I personally want to put a lot more dancey stuff in there. As in, one of the songs that comes on in a club that makes you want to dance. Not that David Guetta sound, but more R&B - a bit like Eve and Gwen Stefani's 'Let Me Blow Your Mind'."

"We're headed to America for a while soon and then we'll get started on writing for the album. We can't wait!"
