Former 'The X Factor' contestant Amelia Lily would never strip off like Rihanna does in her music videos as her fanbase is "very young".

The down-to-earth singer takes her responsibility as a role model seriously, and always considers her loyal fans when performing and filming her music videos.

When asked if she'd ever strip off like risqué Rihanna in her promos, Lily explained: "Rihanna is a lot older than I am, and if she wants to do that she can. However, I have a very young fanbase and I don't really want to be giving them that message just yet."

Lily is famed for her strong sense of style, mixing edgy trends with a punk rock look. When asked if her mother ever berated her for her style growing up, the 18-year-old star said her parents didn't have to worry.

She laughed to the UK edition of OK! magazine: "I never wore inappropriate things, because if I had a skirt up my backside, she'd be like: 'Oh my God, you're not going out!

She added: "But I wore alternative clothing and she never liked that - she wanted me in little pink tutus and diamantes. I wanted punk clothing!"

Lily was mentored by Kelly Rowland when she appeared on The X Factor, and the former Destiny's Child star has recently been announced as a judge on the US version of the hit TV talent show.

Lily says she looks up to the songstress, gushing: "Absolutely, she's been in the industry for so long now. I haven't seen a lot of her since the show, but I've spoken to her a couple of times. She's great. I leant a lot from her."
