Michael Jackson was 'like a lost boy' according to director of his comeback concerts

The director of Michael Jackson's planned comeback shows, Kenny Ortega, has confessed that the icon 'frightened him' in the months leading up to his death in June 2009.

Ortega broke down in tears while giving evidence at the King of Pop's ongoing wrongful death trial and told the court that the 'Thriller' superstar's appearance was "very, very troubling" days before he died and he added, "I saw a Michael that frightened me."

The director's testimony confirmed that Jackson was indeed incredibly frail while trying to prepare for his 'This Is It' run of shows and he explained that at one point he emailed AEG Live's CEO. Randy Phillips, describing him as a "lost boy".

Back in June, a medical expert revealed that Jackson had experienced severe sleep deprivation and there was a possibility that he hadn't slept properly in 60 days. The trial is expected to come to an end by the end of this month.
