Jahméne Douglas reaches No. 1 in UK album chart

Last year’s X-Factor runner up Jahméne Douglas has topped the UK album chart with his debut LP.

‘Love Never Fails’ is a covers album that sees the Swindon singer delivering his own versions of Coldplay’s ‘Fix You’, Beyoncé’s ‘Halo’ and David Guetta’s ‘Titanium’.

Jahméne’s album knocked Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’ from the top spot which has now slipped to No. 2.

Other album chart activity sees Rod Stewart’s ‘Time’ down one to No. 5, Passenger’s ‘All The Little Lights’ up one to No. 4 and Jay Z’s former chart topping album ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail' down one place to No. 3.

New entries include Selena Gomez’s ‘Stars Dance’ at No. 14 and The Rolling Stones’ ‘Hyde Park Live’ just behind at. No. 16.
