Lostprophets' Ian Watkins on suicide watch ahead of child sex charges trial

'Can't Catch Tomorrow' singer Ian Watkins, of Lostprophets fame, has been placed on 'suicide watch' according to his barrister, Sally O'Neill.

Watkins has denied the shocking charges, which include two counts of raping a baby and one charge of conspiring to rape a child, as well as a separate charge of "possessing extreme pornographic images involving an animal", and the trial will begin on November 25.

O'Neill told the court yesterday (August 12) that the rocker needs to be moved from the Parc prison in Bridgend to a psychiatric hospital and also needs anti-psychotic medication:

"He has been seen by a clinical psychologist and she believes he should be receiving anti-psychotic medication. She wants him to be taken to a secure hospital for assessment and treatment. He is on suicide watch five times an hour."
