Miley Cyrus has admitted that some people don't know realise how much negative "energy" affects her.

The singer has often exuded a strong exterior in face of high levels of criticism as she reaches new levels of fame with a raunchy image.

Her current Bangerz tour has faced even more bad press and she took to Twitter to concede that negative attention does get to her.

Cyrus wrote: "I don't think people realize how much energy I put into my shows & how much their bad energy brings me down."

The singer's tour meanwhile is due to hit the UK in May as she brings her show to the country's arenas.
