It’s been an incredible year so far for Roc Nation / Columbia Records signing Rita Ora, with two UK No.1 singles under her belt – the gold selling DJ Fresh track ‘Hot Right Now’ she featured on and her own debut single ‘R.I.P’. Live, Rita has supported US superstar Drake and UK rock giants Coldplay on tour as well as playing at every major UK festival and event this summer including Hackney Weekend, Wireless, Lovebox, T in the Park, Capital’s Summertime Ball and T4 On The Beach to name a few.
Rita now prepares to release her debut album ‘ORA’, a record that features a roll call of producers that reads like an award ceremony of modern musical excellence, from the left-field margins right to the heart of the mainstream: as well as supremoes Drake and Chase & Status, there is Switch, Stargate, Will-i-am, Fraser T Smith and The Dream to add to the legendary list. Rita said ‘I can’t believe how lucky I’ve been to work with these amazing people, we have all clicked and had such a good time in making my album.’
To celebrate the release of ‘ORA’, Rita will be playing two exclusive headline shows in the UK – Manchester Sound Control on 29th August and London’s Scala on 30th August, both of which sold out in less than 30 minutes. Fans will be able to see exclusive performances of ‘R.I.P’, ‘Hot Right Now ’ and new single ‘How We Do (Party)’ as well as new tracks at the shows. Rita will also be making two very special appearances at London’s G-A-Y on 25th August and on her home ground at this year’s Notting Hill Carnvial on August 27th.
Rita’s new single ‘How We Do (Party)’ is available for pre-order now and will be released on 12th August on Roc Nation / Columbia Records. Her album ‘ORA’ is available to pre-order now and will be released on 27th August.
