Taylor Swift personally delivers surprise gift to young fan

Taylor Swift gave a fan the ultimate surprise earlier this week by hand delivering a gift to them.

The 'Blank Space' singer arrived at a family home in Conneticuit on Friday (November 14) to see 2-year-old fan Leyton Barnett.

Upon her arrival Swift gave the boy an early Christmas present in the form of a mini Mercedes electric car (see images below).

Speaking to NBC Connecticut about the pop star's two hour visit, Leyton's mother said:

"She went to FAO Schwartz and got a bunch of stuff for Leyton. The car was so big, she's like, 'I don't know how to ship it, so I thought I'd bring it over.' And I was like, who does that? It's incredible."

Ms Barnett went on: "The things she does for her fans, and she's a really amazing person. She's gotten a lot of people through so much more than anyone can imagine. I was literally bawling on my couch, like, inconsolably, that she would do this for me and my son."

24-year-old Taylor made contact with the Barnett family via Twitter a number of years ago.
