Taylor Swift overwhelmed as she prepares to open her 'Red' tour

'I Knew You Were Trouble' superstar Taylor Swift will kick off her 'Red' tour tonight (March 13) with a concert in Omaha, Nebraska and has revealed that she's so excited to begin the run of dates.

The jaunt will last around 6 months and she took to her official Twitter page earlier this afternoon and told her 29.4 million followers that she can't believe the day has finally arrived: "Can't believe I'm getting ready for the first show of the #RedTour. (!!!!!!!!!)"

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran will accompany Swift during her North American dates and he tweeted: "Tomorrow I start the Red tour with @taylorswift13, goes on for 6 months. Can't wait to play these cities and venues."

The 'Lego House' hitmaker also told his fans that he's currently feeling very under the weather, adding: "This flu is making me dream the weirdest s**t, dunno whats going on."
