Heartthrob Austin Mahone has confirmed details of his split from 'Shower' songstress Becky G. 

He told ET that the break-up was a result of conflicting schedules and despite cutting off their romantic ties, they remain close and Mahone hopes she will still feature on his upcoming debut album:

"We actually kinda broke up a few days ago, just 'cause we're so busy traveling and all that. We thought it was just kinda best if we just chill for a second, but we're still super close."

He added: "We're close friends. I think she'll definitely be featured on the album. Like I said, we're still close and I've produced and written some songs that we've done."

Back in June, Mahone told E! News that he found it easy to relate to Becky G: "What I love so much about Becky is I feel like I can just relate to her so much. It’s cool to date someone that does the same thing you do so you can express when you’re stressed out about this and that, and they can be like, ‘I feel you and understand because I’m feeling the same.’ So it’s pretty cool!”

Becky G took to her official Twitter page last night and reassured her concerned followers that she is fine: "Guys I'm fine! I'm happy! I'm going on TOUR!! It's just stressful. But I promise I'm good :) love you guys."
