Lewis Capaldi and Emeli Sandé to take to the stage at BBC Sports Personality of the Year

After the runaway success of his first single Someone You Loved and subsequent album, Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent, chart-topper Lewis Capaldi will belt out some of his biggest hits at BBC Sports Personality of the Year as those attending celebrate the sporting achievements of 2019.

Raised in Aberdeenshire, Emeli Sandé achieved her first number one single with Read All About It in 2011, which she performed at BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 2012.

She has recently released her third album, Real Life and along with Lewis, Emeli will perform in front of the 10,000 strong crowd and millions more watching at home on BBC One.



With just under a month to go until the big night, the final tickets for BBC Sports Personality of the Year were released this morning with the final few up for grabs now. The first batch sold out in a record 5 minutes.

Lucky ticket holders will also be treated to a special pre-show before the main programme goes live on BBC One at 7pm.

Hosted by comedian Des Clarke, the pre-show will see singer Nina Nesbitt and the best of CBBC young performers including Rio Donkin, the winner of CBBC’s Got What it Takes to perform.

Tickets cost £45 plus admins fees and can be purchased below.
