Sarah’s team, the Red house, is made up of diving gold medallist Matty Lee, Paratriathlon gold medallist Lauren Steadman, BMX gold medallist Bethany Shriever and category F46 Javelin bronze medallist Hollie Arnold MBE.

Presenter Radzi Chinyanganya will be on hand trackside to catch up with the athletes as they don their bibs and compete in the Sack Race, the Obstacle Race, The Tug of War and everyone’s favourite, The Egg & Spoon Race. Providing commentary for School Sports Day is former Olympic medallist and BBC Sport Commentator Steve Cram.

Clare Balding says: “It was my dream come true becoming a PE teacher for the day and being kitted out with a megaphone and whistle. I think I’ve found my calling in life!”

Between the two teams, the sporting legends won 14 medals in Tokyo (including 12 gold) but who will take home the mini trophies and medals this time around?

Broadcasting live from MediaCityUK in Salford, the BBC Children in Need appeal show is on Friday 19 November from 7pm on BBC One.
