As the nation prepares for the King’s Coronation, Bargain Hunt isn’t missing out on the celebrations. Presenter Christina Trevanion hosts a Coronation Special where two pairs of royal enthusiasts race to be crowned winners of this special episode.

Set to be a right royal showdown, two monarchy mad teams battle it out to be crowned winners.

Each team is given £300 to buy three items at Newark Antiques Fair in Nottinghamshire, where they’re given the royal tour by experts Raj Bisram and Roo Irvine. Will the teams meet their royal challenges to find items featuring a crown? When the shopping’s done, the items will go under the hammer at Richard Winterton Auctioneers in Lichfield.

Christina also shares some royal treats, including a rare Queen Elizabeth II stool and a ticket to the late Queen’s Coronation in 1953. She also visits a pottery for an exclusive look at some new commemorative ware and gets stuck in to make her own royal plate, fit for a king!
