Why did you apply to be on The Traitors?

Because it looks quite challenging. You don’t see many shows like this, so when I saw it on TV I thought it was really refreshing to watch something different. So, I applied for the challenge, I wasn’t even thinking about the money. Personally, I’d prefer to be a Traitor but if not, I definitely want to try and catch one. I applied on Christmas Day last year while I was with my family and they were encouraging me, I started it and then left it. I went back to it in the first week of January and now here I am! I wasn’t quite expecting this.

What did you think of the first series?

I loved it. It’s just so different to everything else. To have such a diverse group of people, it was really good to watch and I think that’s what attracted me to it. I’ve not applied to any shows before, but I knew this would be interesting.

Was there anyone’s game plan you admired?

Yes, I liked where Amanda was coming from. She was successful to a certain level with her motherly approach. I’m 32 so I can’t really go with that one! If you look at people like Meryl and Hannah, they kept their cool and got on with everyone, that to me is the best approach. I’m a people person, even in how cutthroat my business is, being horrible to someone isn't going to get you anywhere.

What do you think you'll bring to the game?

I think I’m really good at pretending I don’t know what’s going on, when actually, I have a very good idea. I play the ditzy one and I make self-deprecating jokes constantly, and I don’t get embarrassed easily either – which I think is good. I used to play poker tournaments and they used to just think “Who’s the bimbo at the end of the table?” but I’d still make it to the end.

Do you have a game plan?

My plan is to be underestimated and kill with kindness. I feel like you need to assess your group first, you need to get to know everyone and work them out. I wouldn’t play the same gameplan as everybody else.

Do you think you’ll be good at the missions and what strengths do you think you might bring to them?

I’m looking forward to them. I’m quite an adrenaline junkie so for me, being pushed out of my comfort zone is something I really enjoy. That’s another reason why I’m doing his show. It’s the sort of thing you don’t come across on a normal day. So, for me, the missions are probably the thing I’m most excited to do, the physical aspect of just pushing myself that little bit more. Being an adrenaline junkie, there is nothing that will scare me. For me, I don’t take anything too seriously and the more fun you have, the better you’re going to do. The minute you start stressing and panicking, that’s when it will fall apart.

If you are a Traitor, how do you think you'll feel?

I think my heart will jump out of my chest and I'll have to keep my composure. To be honest, there won’t be anyone at that table that won't be panicking. I really would love to be a Traitor but if it did happen, I’d probably panic and then try to focus on the calm. The only problem is there’s lots of people trying to catch you!

Would you say you’ve got a good poker face?

Yes, just act like you don’t know what's going on and that you're a bit silly, just play dumb. Honestly, the best thing about women who do well in business or play poker tournaments when you're the only one around the table, is that you’re underestimated. Underestimated people are the ones that do the best. We all love an underdog, don’t we?

If you are a Traitor, how far are you prepared to go to win the game?

Honestly, we will all still be friends afterwards so I may as well just go all the way and take it all. At the end of the day, you don’t want to make it to the end and have any regrets. For goodness sake, there’s £120,000 to play for so let's get on with it!

If you're a Faithful, what do you think your game plan would be?

If I am a Faithful and I think I know who the Traitors are, I wouldn’t call them out. Unless it was at the Round Table and I was going for a majority, I'd do it then so that I didn’t look dodgy. Even if I had some solid evidence, it would be better to have that person on side as a friend. I’d rather do that because they won't get rid of you and then when it comes to the final moments, you can get rid of them. I’d rather do that because that’s the only way you’re going to stay safe as a Faithful. Otherwise, they’re just going to eliminate you.

How good are you at spotting a liar?

I don’t know, I’m a bit 50-50 on this because I’ve caught people out with stuff like this before, but I can also be quite gullible – maybe not in this situation though. I feel like with my friends, if they tell me something, I take their word as fact. But then, with strangers, I'm not so sure. I’m in recruitment, it’s tough and it’s full-on. If I sit and think about if I've even been caught off guard at work - never. So perhaps it’s just my mates that wind me up and I believe them!

If you are a Faithful, what qualities do you think you're going to need to make it through to the final?

I feel like you need to build relationships with everybody. Even if you don’t like them, just suck it up and get on with it. Don’t be too opinionated, but don't be too quiet. If you do think someone is a Traitor, be their friend, wait until the end and job done! Honestly, I don’t mind the Traitors getting rid of the other Faithfuls because that’s just another person I won’t have to share the money with. I think a lot of people are hellbent on what is morally right, even though the show is called The Traitors.

If you win the prize money, what do you think you'll spend it on?

You’re going to laugh. We read this newspaper article, me and my wife, that you can now get your dog sent on a private jet to other countries. You can have up to twenty dogs and they don’t have to go into the hold. I thought we could get a motor home and go across America eating all the amazing food and bring my dogs Lady and Lolly. That’s as much as I’ve planned so far. I’m sure I should be doing much better stuff with it, but life’s too short!
