20 International Dramas for 20 years of BBC Four

To celebrate, from 1 March, a collection of over 20 boxsets of the best BBC Four international dramas will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer

On 2 March, 2002, BBC Four launched.

In the 20 years since, alongside the channel’s commitment to specialist Arts, performance, history, science, factual and music content, BBC Four has been the home of international drama in the UK, and continues to bring the best in storytelling from around the world to BBC audiences.

To celebrate, from 1 March, a collection of over 20 boxsets of the best BBC Four international dramas will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

The collection will take the audience on a thrilling journey from Denmark to Italy, via Wales, France, Iceland, Norway and Canada and includes the classic series BORGEN, which will be available on the BBC for the first time in nearly a decade.

Sue Deeks, Head of Programme Acquisition, BBC, says: “These boxsets are just a selection of the many wonderful international drama series that BBC Four has been proud to introduce to the UK over the years. We hope that viewers will enjoy the opportunity to become reacquainted with old friends, and take pleasure in discovering new ones.”
