Since 2008, Record Store Day has grown into the world’s largest single-day music event, shining a light on the culture of the indie record store across the globe. In 2020, that world is different, so Record Store Day will be too. RSD is now scheduled to be celebrated with special, properly distanced release dates on Saturdays over the coming months kicking off this month, followed by two additional RSD Drops in September and October with BMG to issue eleven separate titles.

On August 29, BMG will release a selection of limited edition vinyl including a DIO picture disc; an Emerson, Lake & Palmer live set never before on LP; a Motörhead shaped picture disc; Ravi Shankar’s first-time vinyl release of his collaboration with George Harrison, Chants of India; The Kinks The Kink Kronikles, out of print in the US for over 35 years; and Trojan Records’ vault find, The Ska (From Jamaica), finally being released after over 50 years.

On September 26, BMG will release Hank Williams’ complete 1951 March Of Dimes performance; RBC Records will release Big L’s The Danger Zone, for the first time on vinyl; and Renew Records will release Wilcovered, a loving tribute to Wilco.

On October 24, BMG will release Keith Richards ‘Hate it When You Leave’ including rarity ‘Key To The Highway’, while RBC Records will release Chief Keef’s best-selling Back From The Dead 2.
