When Abby impressed the Blue Peter producers during her audition, they asked her about her dream challenge, and without hesitation, she revealed her passion for sports, particularly wheelchair racing. Now, Abby is embarking on a huge challenge to conquer the world-famous London Marathon.

Abby says: "I'm elated to be joining the many Blue Peter presenters who have attempted the London Marathon - but with a wheelchair racing twist. The training has a whole host of challenges, and in true Blue Peter fashion, I'm in at the deep end. Roll on April!"

To ensure Abby conquers the 26-mile course, she has enlisted the support of none other than British para athlete and world champion, Sammi Kinghorn MBE.

Joining the legacy of Blue Peter presenters who have tackled this monumental feat, from Peter Duncan in the inaugural London Marathon in 1981 to Lindsey Russell in 2015, Abby is hoping to make her mark in the history of the iconic event.

Coverage of the London Marathon will run across the BBC in April and viewers can follow Abby’s story exclusively on Blue Peter on CBBC and BBC iPlayer.
