Singer-songwriter Matt Marlow carefully crafts authentic and soulful music with refreshing and uplifting magic. His unique artistry makes it that much more impressive that Marlow only began writing and making music in 2020. Now he is ready to unveil his latest offering ‘Don’t You Dare’, a warming pop single that lends itself to helping whoever listens feel less alone.

On the meaning behind the track, Marlow shares:

“This song is about not giving up. Point blank, life can be real shit sometimes, but that doesn't mean you call it quits. I was in a bad place in 2020, but I turned all that pain and frustration into my music. I want to help others going through depression or tough times. This song means everything to me. It's for the people that need to hear you're not alone and one day, you're gonna feel the love. Love for yourself and this beautiful thing called life.”

The track came to life as Marlow worked with producers Mat Cammarano, Brandon Metcalf and Luke Sutton. Musically it shows off Marlow’s melodic vocals as they seamlessly float across smooth instrumentation. ‘Don’t You Dare’ has a classic yet timeless sound to it that will resonate with all who listen.

“I get inspiration from the fact that we're floating around on this planet and have no earthly idea what each day will bring,” Marlow adds.

Marlow hopes to make deep connections with his listeners through music, writing songs that will make a difference in people's lives. He grew up always wanting to help people and it’s safe to say he’s found out how to do so. Outside of music Marlow spends time with his close-knit family (including his triplet brothers!) and playing basketball. He is also a Christian and credits his faith in helping him become who he is today.
