Ed Sheeran: 'Taylor Swift is a middle-aged woman trapped in a 24-year-old's body'

'Lego House' hitmaker Ed Sheeran has revealed that songstress Taylor Swift is older than her years and likes to do things suited more to women in their forties.

Speaking to Time magazine, the British singer/songwriter explained that Swift is an old soul and she enjoys things that middle-aged women would be more inclined to indulge in:

"I'm not a very crafty sort of person. She's very crafty. I know she's 24 but she's a sort of middle-aged woman trapped in a 24-year-old's body. She hangs out with her cat and sews things."

Sheeran also recently confessed that Swift has opened a lot of doors for him since they became friends and taught him a lot about the industry: "She owns the US pop scene. She knows how to do it. In England I was a commercially successful artist, but coming into the US as an alternative artist playing shows with Snow Patrol. She not only opened the door into the pop world but showed me how to do it."
