Ellie Goulding set to land second UK No.1 album with 'Halcyon'

Songstress Ellie Goulding has debuted at the top of the UK albums chart with her sophomore record, 'Halcyon'.

The album has entered at No.1 today (October 10) and managed to overtake Mumford & Sons' 'Babel', which has already been named the fastest selling album of 2012 and is now at No.2. Writing on her official Twitter page about the support her fans have shown for 'Halycon', Goulding said:

"Morning campers... Feeling completely overwhelmed by reaction to Halcyon. Feel really blessed thank you x"

Pop-rockers All Time Low have entered the chart at No.4 with their new offering, 'Don't Panic', Mika's 'The Origin of Love' has made an appearance at No.15, and Coheed and Cambria's experimental new album 'The Afterman: Ascension' is at 29.

Elsewhere in the chart, Ronan Keating's 'Fires' has climbed 10 places to No.30, P!nk's 'The Truth About Love' has dropped 3 positions to No.6 and KISS have shot in at No.12 with 'Monster'.
